white balance crash course example 2: one scene, many white balance options

Incandescent
Fluorescent
Sunny
Cloudy
Shade

The above was a single shot taken in RAW and then processed under the standard white balance presets found on a DSLR. The shots are purposefully arranged from the warmest to coldest color temperatures. Clearly the shot on the Brooklyn Promenade is a very sunny scene. So, for white balances set too low (Incandescent, Fluorescent) have a clear blue/cold color cast as their white balance is too warm for the scene. The opposite is true for the Sunny and Shade WB presets - the shot gets a warm color cast because the WB was set too cold for the scene.
